urethral stricture

I have been living with a urethral stricture and was wondering if there is anyone else that can relate or offer advice on treatment that really works. About 10 years ago I had lithotripsy for a large kidney stone and was told that scar tissue developed in the urethral as a result. I have tried many herbs and even dilation from a urologist. I don't want to live with this pain and discomfort for the rest of my life. I appreciate your time.
