Although Wormwood is not a Cathartic or Purgative herb, you may do well to use an acidophilus supplement while using wormwood. You should not use wormwood as a single herb, and not over extended periods of time (several months) as some of the chemical compounds in the plant can cause problems over time.
When using wormwood for a parasite cleanse you should always combine it with other herbs to promote a proper cleanse, and to help protect the mucous membranes in the colon.
