The Turkey Rhubarb formula is normally taken on an empty stomach, and should not cause nausea. You can try taking it with food and see if that helps. Be sure to drink a full 8 oz. glass of water every time you take it. One of the more common causes of constipation is dehydration; an adult should get between 1 qt. to 1 gal. of water a day to remain properly hydrated. A little bit a gas is common when you first start the Turkey Rhubarb formula, and should go away after the first few weeks. You can use Ginger or Peppermint tea to alleviate the gas.
Diarrhea is not good. At no point should you get diarrhea, if you do, cut back by one capsule.
In your case, you might do well to just take the Turkey Rhubarb formula at night before bedtime. 1 –2 capsules with a full glass of water. The nausea should not persist. You could be getting it for several different reasons. One of which may be that you are very toxic from the years of constipation. When we do not eliminate properly, the toxins that our body is trying to remove can be recycled back into our system. These toxins can be stored within the body for years. When we begin a cleanse program, if we are very toxic and stir up a bunch of these toxins all at once we can have what is called a “cleansing crisis”. The symptoms of a cleansing crisis are different for everyone, but can commonly include one or more of the following: rash, fever, nausea, vomiting, and headache- general flu like symptoms. The best thing to do if you think you are having a cleansing crisis to slow down your cleanse. Reduce the number of capsules that you are taking of any cleansing products, drink more water and eat lots of good fruits and vegetables. Stopping a cleanse all together does not help to solve the problem, but may stop the symptoms.
Not all herbal formulas are for every one, if you continue to have trouble with the Turkey Rhubarb formula, you should consider not taking it. It is possible that you may have an allergy to a specific herb in the formula.
