"WHEN THE COLON IS CLOGGED UP, YOUR BODY
CAN ONLY EXTRACT 5-10% OF THE NUTRIENTS
FROM THE FOOD YOU'VE EATEN"
QUESTION: For how many years of your life did you get hungry after meals?
ELI: About 25 years. Finally an herbalist told me the reason. When the colon is all clogged up like a dirty car filter, your body can only extract 5-10% of the nutrients when you eat. So half an hour later the body says, I didn't get enough food. Give me some more. So you eat. You're never full. You keep eating and eating.
After I cleansed my colon, I lost about 13 pounds. Not all of this weight loss came from my colon, but when your colon is clean, everything works more efficiently, including your digestion. A lot of overweight people don't have a fat problem, they have a colon problem.
They can have layers of black, dehydrated, decaying matter in their colon that they can never lose by dieting-or exercise. This black crud clings tightly to the colon wall and doesn't come loose. There can be hundreds of layers. This can add a lot of extra weight to the body.
QUESTION: Maybe you were the exception. Has anyone else lost weight on the formula besides yourself?
ELI: Weight loss is one of the most frequent comments I hear. I recently talked to a 72-year-old woman from Opwa named Ruby. She lost 35 pounds by taking this same formula. She weighed 170 pounds. Now she weighs 135. She told me she made absolutely no change in her diet.
Another woman in Kilgore, Texas said her bloated feeling left. She said, I feel about 10 pounds lighter. Like me, she found she could digest her food better. Her husband had the same results. She was surprised her colitis improved, and she didn't even know it was good for that condition.
QUESTION: Most medical doctors would laugh at the idea that toxins from the colon can poison the body. How would you answer that?
ELI: With most people, their colon is chuck full with meals that have fermented in the colon for two or three days. And with some people, that food has been literally packed in there for weeks. As this food becomes packed tighter and tighter together it becomes rotten and full of poisons and toxins.
Now the body extracts or squeezes the liquid from the mushy food found in the large intestines. As the blood absorbs these nutrients, it circulates and feeds the entire body. The body is then supposed to flush out the waste left in the large intestines. That's called a bowel movement. Now, if you are not having these bowel movements after each meal you run into trouble.
QUESTION: Can you explain that a little more?
ELI: This extraction cycle will continue as long as there is something found in the large intestines. It has no way of knowing if what it is extracting is good food for the body or if it's toxins and poisons not good for the body. And remember, the large intestines are humid and moist. Therefore, it is an excellent place for the food to rot, ferment, spoil, go bad, whatever you want to call it, and it happens in a very short amount of time. Also, while this is going on the by-product is the production of gas. We've all smelled that. That rotten smell that sometimes or always comes out of us. Well, that's from the rotten food still inside the colon. So remember, the longer the material stays in the colon, the more toxins and poisons are produced. And they are extracted and passed on to the entire body.
After years and years of this cycle, parts of the wall of the colon become plugged up with a black layer of gunk. That prevents the body from extracting anything from those areas. So the food has to travel farther and farther down the colon until it finds a place that is not plugged up. Slowly it moves down the colon pushing OLD material in front of it. But by the time it gets to an area that is not plugged up it has fermented and the only thing that will be extracted is a toxin or poison liquid. That's what you are feeding the body.
QUESTION: What about the kidney and the liver?
ELI: Part of the kidney and the liver's job is to filter out these impurities from the blood stream. However, we are by now overtaxing them. So being overworked they tend to slow down on their job while the colon continues to excel at producing more and more toxins and poisons.
QUESTION: Where to these toxins and poisons go to?
ELI: Well, as the blood circulates and feeds the body, it's feeding it these poisons and toxins. They are getting some nutrition but not much really. Now if the immune system is strong, most parts of the body are able to defend themselves against this assault for a time. But the weak areas of the body are unable to. So the toxins and poisons settle into those areas and a buildup starts. That is the start of hundreds of different problems for different people. After so long of this poisoning, these areas finally collapse. This could be in the joints where arthritis forms, or a weak area of the skin is found and lo-and-behold a boil forms. Or the head: headaches are the result of the toxins attaching themselves to the nerve endings.
That is why so many people have this run-down feeling. Their body is extracting the poison and toxins from the colon and feeding them to the entire body. That is also why people say they just feel bad all over. All over is right. And it all comes from the colon, because people are only having one or two bowel movements a day.
It still comes back to the same thing. If the body could flush the waste out of the colon in the first place, none of these problems would be faced by the person.
This is why Dr. Christopher always said that if you treat the CAUSE of say a boil, you will not have it come back. The body, in the case of a boil, finds a weak spot in the skin. It deposits the toxins and poisons there and a boil forms. By lancing the boil you get rid of that poison but you have not addressed the problem of what caused the boil, nor have you prevented another boil from coming out someplace else on the body.
